I thought it was pointless and stupid for Disney to have Saban's old production company rebranded/renamed as BVS because:
-They distribute most, if not all, of their properties under other labels(e.g. Disney, ABC and Touchstone) and they've used the BVS label only to adapt Super Sentai into Power Rangers and dub Digimon eps. so far.
-They owned Miramax back when they purchased Fox Family Worldwide. Since Miramax is another distributor of acquisitions they've bought up back in 1993, they should've merged the two entities to create Miramax Entertainment Inc. or even a brand new label.
-That's like renaming Pixar as "Disney CGI Studios" or something like that. I mean, they should definitely keep their original/homegrown properties/brands seperate from their acquisitions.
-Buena Vista has more in common with both Touchstone and Hollywood than it does with Saban, so it would've made more sense to introduce the BVS label to name a division that's born as a result of a merger b/w the Touchstone, Hollywood and Buena Vista brands rather than to rename Saban's old production company.
What do you think?
