Pokemon, it's an animated series based on a video game franchise that has been around for over a decade.
IMO it was good for a while but it went down hill in recent years but I've only seen a little bit of the new series so I'll comment on that one later.
Indigio was good, Johto was mostly good, Advanced generations were somewhat good and Diamond and Pearl had it's moments (mostly ones involving that jackass Paul). Overall I'd say it's on a decline and too many stories have been rehashed to death. I feel the story rarely goes anywhere and the characters rarely accomplish anything.
Though I'd probably enjoy some of those seasons more if I watched them in Japanese, since I don't particularly like the dub the series has had since Battle Frontier. While it may not be as censored in some regards it's also a lot harder on the ears IMO.
What are your thoughts on the Pokemon animated series?

3 episodes into Black and White here are my thoughts.
Many reused plot points. Pikachu getting overcharged again being the most annoying one.
Ash has been at this for how long now and he lost to Trip just because Pikachu couldn't use electric attacks and he had never seen that attack Snivy could do? Come on, you've got to be better at adapting your strategy by now Satoshi. You're acting too green even for just after Kanto or Johto much less after Hoen and Sinnoh.
In Owshawatt you a Pokemon acting rather similar to Chikorita though I don't think even Chikorita had the gall to unperch Pikachu.
Iris is alright but the bickering with Ash is already getting tired and her calling him a "child" is getting quite annoying while not making up for Ash's naivety even a little bit. I got a laugh out of Ash being referred to as "from the boonies" though. I think I'm going to like Trip.
The Sandile with glasses was rather reminiscent of a certain Squirtle.
Team Rocket is a bit more threatening but no less prone to failure.
So we have a few introductory episodes with some exposition and some explanations about how this region differs from Kanto in particular and then we right back to the typical formula of dilema occurs and Ash and company get involved. This series has a major case of SSDD.
Some of the dub voices are better this season but most of the hold overs are still just barely tollerable if not slightly intollerable. They've been voicing these characters for years so what's with the stiff performances?
I hear BGM wise the show has been unchanged from the Japanese version at least in the first two episodes which is a nice change of pace because they even left in the silence when it occurred in the Japanese version. That's an improvement in the dub I can certainly appreciate but it doesn't make up for the bad acting.
Off to an okay start but I see nothing ground breaking or particularly good here so far. Maybe that'll change though.

Series repeats too much. It is basically the same thing ever since Hoenne.

The Pokemon anime was one of the first animes I've been introduced to when I was a kid, along with DragonBall Z and Sailor Moon. I am going to agree with the plot over-recycling by the way, it's made the series lose its great taste that it had back in the later 90s and earlier 2000s in my opinion. The first five seasons were great, but everything else beyond that is still okay. I'm still pleased that Boomerang still airs repeats of the older episodes every weekday. I've actually tried watched Pokemon Best Wishes subbed and actually got a kick out of it. I kind of got miffed that Pikachu was inable to use his powerful Thunderbolt when Zekrom appeared.

They're out of ideas. I really think the anime should have ended after five seasons. I'm sick of how repetitive it is. I mean, I love the original five seasons, I even own the first one complete, but it's gone in the way of SpongeBob SquarePants; it should have ended years ago.
