Timon & Pumbaa was an okay show, but I thought a regular Lion King animated series would be better.
It would start airing in 1998 (around the same time the sequel is released), and end in 2000 with 65 episodes. It would be part of Disney's One Saturday Morning. It's a midequel, focusing on Simba and Nala's adventures as cubs, with some new characters. The theme song would be a shortened "I Just Can't Wait to be King". (The characters that appeared in Timon and Pumbaa keep their voice actors)
Simba: Andrew Lawrence
Nala: Julia McIlvaine
Mufasa: Greg Eagles
Sarabi: Cree Summer
Sarafina: Kath Suocie
Zazu: Michael Gough
Scar: Jim Cummings
Shenzi: Tress MacNielle
Banzai: Rob Paulsen
Ed: Jim Cummings
Rafiki: Robert Guillame
New Characters:
Furaha - Furaha is a lion cub who is Simba and Nala's friend. Furaha has gold-brown fur (though darker than Simba's) and blue eyes. He is usually optimistic, but gets in trouble a lot. Voice actor: Courtland Mead.
Uzuri - Uzuri is a lion cub who's another friend of Simba and Nala. She has pale fur (like Nala) and purple eyes. She can be a bit vain at times, but cares for her friends. Voice actress: Ashley Johnson.
Twiga - Twiga is a giraffe calf who is a friend of Simba and Nala. She is a bit insecure of her hight, and is the "brains" of the outfit. Voice actress: Kathleen Wilhoite
Tembo - Tembo is an elephant calf friend of Simba and Nala. He's a bit on the doofy side, but is still a good friend. Voice actor: Justin Shenkarow
Kasi - Kasi is a zebra friend of Simba and Nala. He is very athletic. Voice actor: Erik von Dettin
Chama - Chama is another lion cub friend of Simba and Nala. She's very girly, and is close friends with Nala. She has pale gold fur and green eyes. Voice actress: Francesca Smith
