Hey guys, I was just asking if there are any successful franchises out there that don't have an animated series yet that should get an animated series one day?
I got one that should be a likely candidate... [glow=orange,5,000]Neopets[/glow] This has been around for over 10 years now and has yet to get an animated series on the television. It's just about as popular as Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh are, but not very many (the ToonZone members for one) know it yet. I even asked Raechalbamdead about this, and she'd watch it if it existed (even though animation isn't her typical cup of tea).
Do you have any other ideas for successful franchises that don't have an animated series yet that should get one someday?

Neoking suggesting Neopets for a cartoon? Shocking. Viacom bought the rights as I recall, I wonder why they haven't tried making a cartoon of that yet.
There's a lot of comic franchises that would make great cartoons.
DC comic heroes are vastly underused other than Batman and sometimes Superman (but he's due for a solo cartoon again by now). The Flash has a lot of charm and a legacy of heroes in his family and that's a great amount of characters for a cartoon. It worked pretty well as a live-aciton show at some point. Why never Flash cartoon?
Hellboy's animated features were great IMO and a show would be that much better. It's one of the few non-Marvel and non-DC series that has a chance at mainstream success as a cartoon.
Video games franchises are another great springboard for animated series.
Metroid has a vast universe to explore in animated form and has a rich history through it's various games yet we have no Metroid cartoon. Samus Aran's adventures would make for a great serial animated series full of adventure and suspense. Why it hasn't occurred yet despite being a relatively successful franchise is simply beyond me. I'd also like to see a Star Fox animated series but in all honesty the franchise isn't very strong so I have my doubts it would work.
I would also think a Kingdom Hearts animated series would be very successful. With huge worlds full of characters to pull from the possibilities are almost endless.
